Looking for a decent but cheap practice amp? Buy this.
I use of variety of basses, from a Fender p bass to an active 6 string schecter, and they all sound incredible through this amp.
The only thing I'd say is it depends on your headphones, obviously the better quality they are the better sound you're going to get.
It lives in my bass bag, so I can play through an amp anywhere, completely unrivalled for the price in my opinion.
We have/had been having problems of our next door neighbour playing very loud music. As a bass player I know how bass can travel through houses, something our neighbours despite being told did nothing about, with their bass subwoofer. I had always asked them regularly if my bass amp was disturbing them, which was always answered with a no.
However, I did not want them to complain that they were being disturbed by my amp when practicing, (in revenge), so I decided to buy one of these amPlug's. As long as you are careful with the gain/volume setting as you can get a little hiss, I have found it a good investment. I can now practice without disturbing anyone. Whoopee!
