Review Yamaha F310 Acoustic Guitar Pro Pack

Let me begin by saying that this is my very first guitar and that after never having picked up an instrument in my life, I began taking lessons all of two weeks ago.

Even though I live on the continent I purchased this in a kit through Amazon UK because it came with a gig bag, stand, picks, an electronic tuner, a strap, an extra set of stings and a learners DVD for a very competitive price. It also arrived in 2 days. I have no one to help me scout models around town and after 2 disappointing visits to the only 2 only shops in town I decided to purchase one online.

The guitar arrived safely and well-packed in a box within a box. I left the factory strings on and it sounds pretty good. I did have some trouble with the G string being really loose and difficult to tune; like I said I am new to this stuff, but my teacher fixed that for me; I just hadn't tuned it correctly as I was afraid of busting the string by over tightening. Since my teacher tuned it properly for me it has been very easy to keep in tune. I like the smaller neck and it's got low action so it doesn't cause me too much learner's grief. It handles very nicely and is easy to play.

I had read reviews that said some people had received theirs with nylon strings, or three steel and 3 nylon and/or nylon replacements. I received all steel; everything came exactly as it was described. The bag has some very light padding, it isn't a heavy duty bag, just simple black canvas but sufficient enough to get me to class and back. I really like the stand; it's a very solid metal tripod that folds up for transport. The DVD is really nothing special but perhaps helpful for a beginner who is not taking lessons.

I am very satisfied with my purchase and would buy it again if it were stolen
